The AY160 arrived perfectly, and works great. I left you some great feedback.

Your instructions were very thorough, and easy to follow.

The box sounds like a fine restoration job, and my wife and I have been enjoying it.

I realize that the amp is restored to original specs and sounds like it should, but is there any way to lower the bass or increase treble on the AY160 a bit?

Hi Mike!

I just wanted to follow-up and thank you again for bringing the Seeburg 222 up to me.  After you left, I turned off the lights and just sat and listened to a few songs.  The jukebox is very pretty in the dark with the different colors and watching the records change.  Out of all of the 45rpm Jukeboxes I have—this one is my favorite and sounds great!

THANK YOU also for taking the Seeburg Trashcan with you and agreeing to have your friend fix my M100A.  I would love to see that one working the way it should.  I think I will purchase the free—play adapter I e-mailed you about.  The price is right and it might solve some of the problems.  When I get it, I will just put it inside the machine so you have it when I come down.

I also enjoyed the time we spent together talking and all of the good advice you gave me.  I have never had to send jukeboxes out to be repaired—so how is someone like me able to figure out what technician to use?  I value your opinion very much—and have no doubts about having anything repaired at your shop.  I have two examples of your excellent work sitting in my home right now.

Hi Mike and Faye!

Hope you had a safe trip home, Mike!

The jukebox is Beautiful sitting side-by-side with the identical one I have. 

 Thank you so much for bringing it! 

 This now gives me 200 stereo selections instead of 100

 and it’s neat to see two of the same style side-by-side. 

 I actually have a photo of a restaurant from the late 50’s with two Seeburgs side by side on a platform—

guess they had the same idea of increasing their selections.

I read the manual and followed all of your instructions. 

 The box sounded fine but had   too much BASS. !!!

 Since I know the bass and treble controls are on the chassis--I have a manual for the other one—

I opened the back ONLY TO move the bass switch. 

 I hope this isn’t something I had to call about before doing;

 as I closed the door, locked it and will never open it again—

the way it was—

it was making everything in the room rattle. 

 Now is sounds perfect.

Hi ,Mike, found tubes you were talking about I think? took them out and  put them back in their sockets and  it started selecting perfectly well see if it behaves itself  but so far it looks darn good may have been a bad connection on some of the pins ?  don't know  don't care its working  perfectly now  thanks for the help as usual ,Mike  you can put this on your web site  thanks again regards ,Pete

Mike, I received the amp and it sounds beautiful .

 Now on to the next problem.

This juke is a HF100R and has many problems. Some of the pick up pins fire when you select them and some don’t. Even when they do fire the mech just scans past them with a slight hesitation as it crosses the pin, like it wants to fire the stop solenoid but can’t. I can manually pull some of the pins in and make the mech scan. Some of the pins, I have to keep working them back and forth to make them have contact enough so the mech will scan. Also it will sometimes pick up but will never cancel the pin. This juke has been stored for a number of years.

My thoughts are that the first two steps are to rebuild the pickup unit and the selector assembly, clean and burnish all contacts. Basically disassemble clean and put back together. Do you agree ? Also it’s been years since I have worked on jukeboxes ( I used to do it for a living) But I would like to know if you have spare parts for this juke ? Selector assembly, pick up assembly, cancel coils, etc. Thanks for your time.

By the way do you rebuild jukes and if you do could you give me a breakdown on some of the prices ? I might have to ship the whole thing to you. Kelly

Thanks for fixing the juke box, it works great!! We made it home safe &
sound. After we got it into the basement we filled it with records, they
never sounded better! We have one problem & that is that we don't seem
to have a key to open the back.  We do have 2 keys, one opens the dome &
the other for the coin box but neither of these opens the back.If we
took it with us before I sure don't have a clue where it is now.  Do you
have a spare you can copy & send us?     We
were just wondering. Thanks again for all your hard work. We're very
happy with the sound and workmanship!

Dear Mike and Faye. 

Made it home with the Seeburg I won on e-bay.

It was dry as a bone even though I ran into a storm in Maryland. 

The Seeburg plays great and my old 45's sound several times better on it than on my CD's ever sounded on the new system. I am going to recommend you to every one.
